The A110 tubing for our handrail kits is not plated, but rather solid brass or stainless steel. Wall thickness of the tubing is 0.050".

The most popular handrail bracket is the 301/1H Bracket. One leg of the bracket screws into a wall and the arm screws to the underside of your handrail. Brackets should be placed no more than 5 feet apart. The most frequently used finial (end) is the 600/1H Flush End Cap, although more decorative finals such as 606/1H Scroll Finials may also be used.

830/1H Splices are 6 inch lengths of brass tubing with a longitudinal slit. The tube is compressed and inserted into the ends of the tubes to be joined. A bracket is used to cover the seam.

Handrail kits are designed to qualify for standard UPS™ shipping rates, saving you substantially on shipping charges. For example, we ship the 8 ft kit with two 4 ft tubes and a splice rather than a single 8 ft tube. The actual shipping weight for an 8 ft kit with an 8 ft tube is less than 20 lbs, but it would ship as 70 lbs because the package would be "Oversize 2". Consult the UPS Shipping Guide for details on "Oversize" packages.
