The TrafFix Generation IV Channelizer Drum is manufactured from tough, reboundable plastic. Available in either low density (soft) or high density (hard) polyethylene, the TrafFix Drum is made to bounce back after repeated impacts.

Base Options:
The TrafFix Channelizer Drum allows you to choose the base that is best suited for your application. Whether its our Standard Base, our proven San-Fil Base our Road Rubber, 25 pound or 40 pound solid rubber base. All Model #18000 Channelizer Drum tops fit any of the bases below.

	25# Tire Ring Base: Made from truck tire sidewall sections. It’s economical and easy to use and provides all the ballast you’ll need to hold a drum in place, even in the windiest conditions. The tire ring eliminates the need for sandbags that tear or break leaving messy sand on the roadway. The rubber tire ring “grips the road” and minimizes drum movement and rotation. Each TrafFix Devices’ patented drum has a unique retaining lip that acts as a flange to hold a tire ring securely in place. TrafFix channelizer drums (with tire rings) have been impact tested under the direction of NTPEP, the national testing organization. The TrafFix drum top successfully separated from the base when repeatedly impacted by the test vehicle in both warm and cold weather tests.* Remember, by using truck tire sidewalls for channelizer drum ballast, we are reusing truck tires and helping to keep them out of landfills.
	Standard Base: Manufactured out of durable high density polyethylene, the TrafFix standard sand bag style base is one of the lowest profile bases in the industry which minimizes storage space. Anti-skid gripper teeth help the drum and base from walking or creeping. The standard channelizer base meets all state and federal specifications and fits ALL TrafFix Model 18000 Two Piece Channelizer Drums.
	Sand-Filled Base: Manufactured out of tough low density or high density polyethylene, the proven "Sand-Fil" Base can be filled with up to 55 pounds of sand or gravel. "Sand-Fil" bright orange color helps delineate traffic even if the top of the drum has been knocked off. The "Sand-Fil" Channelizer Base meets all state and federal specifications and fits ALL Model 1800 Two Piece Channelizer Drums.
	25# Recycled Rubber Base: Manufactured out of 100% post consumer recycled rubber and weighing 25 pounds, the "Road Rubber" Channelizer Base meets all state and federal specifications and fits ALL Model 18000 Two Piece Channelizer Drums.
	40# Recycled Rubber Base: Manufactured out of 100% post consumer recycled rubber and weighing 40 pounds, the "Road Rubber" Channelizer Base meets all state and federal specifications and fits ALL Model 18000 Two Piece Channelizer Drums.
