Freeze Kit:

Model M43-2 features design simplicity, incorporating a wheelchair arm to accommodate disabled users in compliance with the height and under-arm clearance requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Model M43-2 is not an antifreezing drinking fountain. To control water flow to the bowl, a push button at the front of the wheelchair arm is standard. In addition to water delivery to the bowl, model M43-2 is furnished with a spigot mounted to the side of the pedestal, either spring-loaded to shut off or with threads for installing a hose. Heavy-duty construction ensures durability, and field-serviceable components are easily accessible. Solid-brass castings for bowl and mouth guard are powder-coated; chrome or polished-brass finish is optional.

Suggested Specifications:

Drinking fountain shall be Murdock model M43-2. Unit shall incorporate a wheelchair arm to accommodate disabled users. Bowl shall be octagonal, powdercoated, solid-brass casting with outer edge at least 8 1/2 inches from center of bubbler outlet. Drain opening in bowl shall be adequately protected from stoppage and vandalism by a chrome-plated, solid-brass casting. Bubbler shall be chrome-plated, solid-brass casting with outlet near outer edge of bowl and above bowl rim. Mouth guard Suggested specification shall be powder-coated, solid-brass casting, mounted on outer edge of bowl to meet sanitary requirements. All solid-brass castings shall conform to ASTM standards B61 and B62 for cast metals. Pedestal shall be a heavy-duty, grey iron casting, and wheelchair arm shall be an aluminum-magnesium casting. Base shall be furnished with mounting holes to accommodate anchor bolts. Valve controlling flow to bowl shall be activated by push button at end of arm. Unit shall be furnished with a spigot mounted on the side of the pedestal, spring-loaded for shut-off (with hose threads). Water-supply connection shall be 3/8-inch NPS male fitting.

Options:

Model M43-2 is furnished with a side spigot is shown. A self-closing spigot is standard, and a hose-thread spigot is optional.
